I recently signed up with a site called CouchSurfing.org. The premise of the site is that those looking for free lodging can hook up, via Internet, with those who have a couch (or a spare bedroom) available. The point is to provide travelers a way connect with natives in whatever area of the world they’re visiting. It’s always been my dream to rent an RV and drive around for a year or so, visiting every state in the continental United States with my family… and while it might be too far or physically impossible to drive to Alaska and Hawaii, respectively, I’d love to to see those states, too!
